I was so excited to start a Lego at MMS for our students at both middle schools. My love for Lego all started at the beginning of COVID. It is wonderful to share my passion for Lego with our students. Our Lego Club was fortunate to receive large amounts of unused Lego bricks from staff, retired MPS staff members, and from friends of mine.
When I applied for the MEF mini grant, my members and I were super excited to be granted $200 for Lego Sets. The members looked on the Lego website and in a Lego catalog and decided that they wanted to build Pull Back Lego Car sets as well as a Lego race car ramp that came with mini cars shaped like a bathtub, a hotdog, and a hospital bed. They are enjoying racing these cars as well as using their imagination to build Lego garages for the cars and race tracks with the road plates that we have.
